I bought a spiral cutter head for my jointer, was it worth it?
Переглядів 4,7 тис.4 місяці тому
Installing and reviewing a spiral cutterhead for my Jet JJ- 6CSX jointer. Was it worth it? Had some fun with this video. I have an older model Jet jointer that's had the traditional straight cutterhead on it for years. It's been great. I recently went out and purchased a new spiral cutterhead from Lux Cutheads (not sponsored) to see if it's worth the hype. In the video, I ran some tests with th...

Do you need to sand the cabinets if they have a polyurethane finish?
So you didn’t seal?
i’ve don’t this to a few kitchens even after telling customers it’s a terrible idea and can guarantee you it will take forever and look like shit. let alone will not last a year without scratching off all the corners.
walnut 1x6x3 $50.....yikes
Where is a good place to buy good hardwoods I’m a beginner thanks for your help
LOVE WORKS!
There's room on the front of the cubbies for a French cleat system is you ever use those. You can make it modular!
So you can buy all these tools besides the cnc for probably around $1000-3000. Especially used. You can own a Lamborghini and still be 16 with a license just starting out😂😂😂
Tool guide 🎉

Love the unexpected humor😂
I’m starting today lol.
Gorgeous ❤
Components are the building blocks that make up assemblies, and a body is one of the elements that make up a component. Each component contains one or more bodies, as well as its own set of origin planes, sketches, construction geometry, joints, and other elements. (From Fusion 360 help)
Ok, you fixed it.
Sketch shown does not appear to be fully defined/constrained (blue lines in sketch). Also could save time using constraints.
Hermoso color! 🎉
Did I miss the before and after pics? Love the video
LOOK AT THE ORANGE PEEL TEXTURE ON THE DRAWER FRONT WHAT A SHITTY JOB.
🤣
Why tsp substitute?
To clean them
Is worth putting a clear coating over paint to avoid digs or scratches in paint? Also I'd appreciate the tool guide as well
I'm not sure - I didn't do that. I'd check with the paint company and see what they recommend. Here you go! www.casualbuilds.com/top10tools

How many sheets of plywood is this build?
Im getting a very big head now
Stumbled on your channel and i'm hooked. Hoppin' over to support you on Patreon! Also thumbs up on walking thru your Fusion process. So good.
Ahh thank you for the support!!
Great video. So just looking at the maths on this cost of wood let’s say $5 + $9 shipping + paint $.50 + vinyl $2 + stain $.50 + finish $.50 + paper ink and stickers for postage $.50 Etsy 8% $4 + Etsy offsite ads 15% $7.50 + electric of the Cnc and sander $1.50 = $31 so $19 profit. Am I anywhere close ?
Looks close. I didn’t keep track of the expenses too much, was making these for fun.
The new white countertops also helps modernize your kitchen. Love the color combo. Cabinets look beautiful. ❤
Nice!! I did this three years ago, with no problems with chipping. Cleaning is easy.
Gorgeous 😊 I love the colour. My cupboards have thermofoil covering them but you've inspired me to just go ahead and strip that and paint them up. Thanks 😊
Hello, here is the answer with the drawer fronts, im just testing it now. ua-cam.com/video/rj2xD1m1j_c/v-deo.htmlsi=o2WZGEhBHwQcYBQ6
Which brand paint is this
Heirloom traditions.
cool vid, thank u
Love the color. So tired of black, white, grey and beige.
Haha my cabinets painted white when got the house but had ugly blue laminate made dark. I did soft grey subway tile made the room lighter. Really just depends on the room size and sunlight and ceiling lighting. Yeah the whole house is beige 🤣
@@Kt-cn2rq I painted my kitchen cabinets green, the walls mustard, and did a broken pottery backsplash of cactus and a sunset. And just recently painted my pantry door a blend of blues, greens, coral, yellow, white and purple
I don’t personally think you should be concerned about different sets of people coming for fusion videos vs build videos. The projects you are modeling in fusion are woodworking projects. There is value in consuming both those pieces of content from my perspective. I like watching you model things in fusion that I might want to build in an attempt to inspire me to build something of my own. Then I like watching the build videos to see the techniques of how you built the thing that I also might want to build. Keep em coming!
Well said - thank you!
Not so sure your finish will hold up over time. I think you missed 2 important steps. Sanding and priming especially with a high end adhesion primer. Good luck I hope it works out,
Tool guide , thank you

Yeah but anything that can scratch the paint off will. Sooner or later there will be spots that you can see the pine again. If that were a movie set it would be good enough.
I’ve got 3 young kids being crazy in there. It’s holding up.
@@CasualBuilds One day.. But so what. Some might look at the marks that accumulate as history. Something to look at in the years to come and remember.
So nice !
just found your page but i hope all your videos have such amazing sound effects lol
This color looks darker than Sage….
Misspoke, it’s Spruce
She had a white Refrigerator’ jk it looks great!!
Well done. Funny.
Great video! Ignore all the trolls about "beginner" level, i have the same tools as you and appreciate the details! Question, the blue tool you use a 7:35 to round out the corner, is that a small hand planer??
Not much better. Coulda kept it the old way. It went from warm, to feeling cold. Warm tones in the kitchen are good; that’s where folks congregate to eat and feel warmth.
Guide please
